Did you know that every teacher at Divine Savior Academy is part of a Professional Learning Team?

Your child benefits from a school that keeps learning and improving.

A Professional Learning Team (PLT) is a group of teachers who meet regularly to improve teaching, strengthen lessons, and help students succeed.

Here’s what this means for your child:

  • Every teacher, from PreK through 12th grade, is part of a PLT
  • Teams meet weekly outside teaching hours
  • Teachers focus on essential learning standards
  • Teachers plan support for students who need extra help
  • Teachers create enrichment for students ready for more challenge
  • Student learning data helps guide decisions for each child

These meetings focus on one important question:
How can we best support every student to learn and grow?

A School-wide System Focused on Student Growth

Many of our teachers and leaders have attended the PLC at Work Institute. There they meet with educators from across the country. The strategies from this training guide the work happening in PLT meetings each week.

Our campus also has a Guiding Coalition. This is a team of teachers and administrators who move this work forward. They collaborate on school-wide priorities. They make sure best practices get implemented. And they ensure alignment across grade levels (PreK-12th).

When teachers collaborate like this, your child benefits from:

  • Clear focus on the most important skills
  • Extra help when students need reinforcement
  • Enrichment for students ready to go deeper
  • Consistent, high-quality teaching across grade levels

Our teachers invest time each week to grow professionally because they care deeply about your child’s success.
