Parents & School: A True Partnership

Parents & School: A True Partnership

Did you know DSA families are more than supporters? They are partners in our mission.

Together, we are building a connected, Christ-centered school community.

Ways Parents Get Involved

Parents serve in many ways across campus. Many join PTO or Booster Club, helping organize events like Trunk or Treat, middle school dances, and other celebrations. They also support extracurricular programs through fundraisers such as the annual Golf Tournament.

Room parents and volunteers work with teachers and help bring lessons to life. They decorate spaces, read with students, and assist with classroom needs. Parent involvement makes a meaningful difference in the daily student experience.

Across athletics and student life, parents continue to serve as mentors and leaders. Some volunteer as middle school coaches, helping students practice teamwork, character, and confidence. Others support events, chaperone field trips, assist with clubs, or contribute to career day.

The Impact on Students

Your child feels that support. When parents are involved, there is a visible sense of pride and confidence. It helps connect school and home into one shared experience.

Parents also play an important role in the spiritual life of our school. Many attend chapel services, worshiping alongside students and reinforcing the connection between faith, family, and education. Programs like All Pro Dad provide intentional time for fathers and their children to grow together in faith.

When those same truths are reinforced both at school and at home, faith becomes part of who a child is. You begin to see it in how they treat others, how they respond to challenges, and even how they talk about God in everyday life.

A Community That Grows Together

This partnership creates a school environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and known. It ensures that students are thriving not only academically, but also spiritually and socially.

We are building a unique community rooted in faith and a shared commitment to student growth. Thank you to the families who walk alongside us in this work.
