Faith in Action with Operation Go

What does it look like to live out your faith?

For many Christian teenagers, that's a question they're still learning to answer.

They hear about serving others. They study Scripture. They learn about God's call to love their neighbors. But eventually, they have to ask:

How do I actually do that?

Recently, students from our Sienna and Doral campuses had the opportunity to explore that question firsthand through Operation Go, a mission trip to Grenada.

Students from the Sienna campus also helped raise funds through events such as the Easter Glow Hunt, a dress-down day fundraiser, and a Parent's Night Out. From the very beginning, participation required intentional commitment, sacrifice, and a desire to serve.

After months of preparation, students traveled to support the ministries of Divine Savior Academy and Divine Savior Church Grenada. Guided by Pastor Kevin Boushek, Miss Anna Bilitz, Mrs. Sarah Kuerth, and the teams in Grenada, students spent the week serving wherever they were needed.

They worked alongside teachers in classrooms. They supported students one-on-one. They helped lead lessons, served meals, and played games at recess. They explored the island during the Corpus Christi Holiday and learned about the culture, building relationships along the way.

At first, some students may have wondered what difference they could make in just one week. By the end of the trip, they had their answer.

Throughout the week, students discovered that serving others often begins with something simple: showing up, meeting new people, and sharing Christ's love through everyday interactions.

The group also worshiped with Divine Savior Church - Grenada, participated in daily devotions, and encouraged one another through Scripture and prayer.

As the week continued, something began to change.

Students who had arrived hoping to serve others found their own faith being strengthened. They gained confidence in their ability to lead and discovered new ways to use their gifts. They experienced the joy that comes from serving without expecting anything in return.

When the final day arrived, the tearful goodbyes revealed just how meaningful those relationships had become.

The students returned home with plenty of lasting memories and also a deeper understanding of servant leadership. They had gained a clearer picture of what it means to live out their faith.

We are incredibly proud of the faith, courage, and servant-hearted leadership they demonstrated throughout the week. We give thanks to God for the ways He used this experience to help students grow in their faith.
