Finding Confidence on Stage

Every child has unique gifts.

Sometimes, all they need is an opportunity to discover them.

This spring, Entertainment Night gave students the chance to step outside their comfort zones, work together with classmates, and build the confidence to share their talents with family and friends.

For many students, performing in front of an audience can feel exciting…and a little intimidating. Through practice, encouragement, and teamwork, students learned how to overcome nerves, trust their preparation, and confidently step onto the stage.

Growing Through Practice and Teamwork

For weeks, students practiced songs, choreography, speaking parts, and stage movement. Every rehearsal helped them grow, not just as performers, but as learners and teammates.

Along the way, students developed:

• Confidence speaking and performing in front of an audience
• Courage to try something new and overcome challenges
• Teamwork as they rehearsed and encouraged one another
• Creativity through music, movement, and storytelling
• Responsibility by learning their parts and preparing together

Celebrating Student Growth

Entertainment Night also celebrated how much students had grown throughout the school year.

Each grade brought its own story to life:

• PreK-3A: Chicken Licken
• PreK-3B: The Enormous Turnip
• PreK-4A: The Little Engine That Could Sing
• PreK-4B: Puff the Magic Dragon
• Kindergarten: Gettin' Down with Mama Goose
• 1st Grade: Rumpus in the Rainforest
• 2nd Grade: E-I-E-I-Oops!
• 3rd Grade: Lemonade!
• 4th Grade: Original student-written skits
• 5th Grade: Summer Camp

Older students also took the stage for the campus's first Children's Theatre production, Tortoise vs. Hare 2: This Time It's Personal! Middle and high school students worked together to bring the production to life while strengthening their acting, communication, and collaboration skills.

The performances were made even more special by the support of school families. Many parents volunteered their time by helping create costumes and props, making each show a true community effort.

Discovering What They Are Capable Of

By the time the curtain opened, students had accomplished far more than learning songs or memorizing lines. They had learned to persevere through challenges, support one another, and share the gifts God has given them with confidence.

Because sometimes, the greatest lesson is discovering that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.
