Varsity Boys Soccer Builds a Season on Leadership, Teamwork, and Purpose

Two soccer players, one in a black and white striped jersey and the other in a white jersey, are engaged in a dribbling contest on a soccer field with a blue fence in the background.

Leadership has been central to the team’s success. Senior captain Josh Canaday embraces the responsibility of leading by example, focusing on encouraging teammates and setting the tone through effort, attitude, and communication. As a senior, he takes pride in leaving a standard for those who will follow, especially as part of the first group to compete on this new field.

The coaching staff has helped guide the program with a system-first approach, prioritizing teamwork, accountability, and cohesion over individual recognition. This mindset has created a group that supports one another, resolves challenges quickly, and stays united through both success and adversity.

As a rewarding highlight to an already strong season, the team recently earned a District Championship, a reflection of the character, unity, and purpose that have defined their year.

We are proud of our student-athletes and coaches for building a program rooted in leadership, teamwork, and faith.
