Making Time to Connect

Family Friday Nights give families a chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy meaningful time together.

Throughout the year, families are invited to gather for special evenings filled with fellowship, faith, food, and fun. Each event has its own theme, giving families something new to experience and enjoy together.

Between work, school, activities, and busy schedules, family life can move quickly. These evenings create intentional time once a month to step away from the usual routine, spend time together, and build relationships with others in the school and church community.

A Place to Relax and Enjoy Time Together

Each Family Friday Night begins with a short, family-friendly devotion. Parents and children have an opportunity to hear an encouraging message and spend time growing together in faith.

Afterward, the evening continues with food, activities, and plenty of time to connect.

Families can:

  • Enjoy dinner from local food trucks
  • Participate in themed activities
  • Spend time with friends
  • Meet other school families
  • Enjoy a relaxed evening together

Building a Bridge to Community

Family Friday Nights also create a connection between the school and church communities.

For some families, these evenings may be their first experience with the Divine Savior Church outside of the school day. In this relaxed setting, families have opportunities to meet members of the church community, get to know ministry leaders, and learn about additional ways to connect.

Growing Stronger Together

Strong communities are built through relationships.

Those relationships often begin in simple moments: a conversation while waiting for food, children playing together, a family meeting someone new, or friends laughing together at an activity.

Family Friday Nights create space for those moments to happen.

As families spend time together outside of the normal school routine, friendships can grow and connections can deepen. Over time, those relationships help families feel part of something bigger than themselves.

Because a strong community is about finding people to share life with along the way.
