From the moment Sebastian joined the DSA chess team in 4th grade, he embarked on a journey of growth that would shape his entire school experience. Learning from teammates he admired and competing in high-level tournaments across the country, Sebastian developed skills in strategy, focus, and leadership. As those older players graduated, he carried the baton, continuing the team’s legacy of success.

That same pattern of growth carried into every area of his student life. Though reserved by nature, Sebastian showed up with confidence. He was involved in cross country, Model UN (which he helped launch), NHS, Shark News Network, and student council. DSA gave him the freedom to try new things and the encouragement to keep stepping out of his comfort zone. Thanks to his caring teachers and the close-knit community, he always felt seen, supported, and inspired to lead.

After graduating, Sebastian earned a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural disciplines from Northeastern University. Today, he works as a Field Engineer with Skanska, managing major infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Currently on-site in Rhode Island, he oversees scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and materials. Ensuring projects stay on track and meet standards is a key part of his hands-on role, keeping him at the heart of the action!

When he’s not working, you’ll find Sebastian enjoying life in Boston: attending Celtics and college hockey games, exploring the city’s historic neighborhoods, visiting museums, or checking out academic events at MIT and Harvard. With a foundation of faith built at DSA, Sebastian remains grounded in Christ through his involvement with Northeastern's Catholic Center. We’re proud to see how his work ethic, values, and leadership continue to make a difference!
