DSA Doral alumni Matheus Pereira

From the classroom debates that sparked his critical thinking to scoring the very first goal for DSA’s high school soccer team, Matheus still remembers his time at DSA as a season that shaped who he is today. Having joined DSA in seventh grade after moving from Brazil, he recalls how the school’s structure and expectations gave him a new sense of discipline and responsibility. “It was so different from what I was used to,” he shared, “but it helped me grow.”

While the academics prepared him for success, Matheus says the relationships made his experience unforgettable. He built lasting friendships that remain strong to this day and cherished the teachers who encouraged both his learning and his faith. His time at DSA strengthened his understanding of the Bible and his connection to God, something that continues to guide him.

After graduating from DSA in 2014, Matheus earned a degree in Business with a focus in on Marketing from Florida International University. He now lives in Belém, the capital of Pará, Brazil, where he serves as a Marketing Coordinator and partner at his family’s company. The company specializes in forest management, agriculture, and services for a major mining corporation. His role often involves long road trips through northern Brazil, making each day a different experience. When he’s not on the road, Matheus still enjoys soccer games with friends and even reconnecting with past teachers when he visits the U.S.

We are proud to celebrate his journey and the impact he is making both in business and beyond. Keep excelling, Matheus!
