Celebrating Our 8th Grade Graduates

Celebrating Our 8th Grade Graduates

Did you know DSA has a special tradition for our graduates?

Every graduate starts somewhere.

Not long ago, these 8th graders were in our elementary classrooms tackling new challenges: learning math and science, building friendships, and discovering the gifts God had given them.

Year by year, they grew. They learned how to think critically, work through obstacles, and serve others in love. They developed confidence, character, and faith as they prepared for what came next.

Now, they are ready for their next chapter.

This year's graduates have been accepted to:

  • The King's Academy
  • North Broward Prep
  • Saint John Paul II Academy
  • Somerset Academy

These acceptances are the result of years of growth, hard work, and preparation.

Before graduation, our students had the opportunity to reflect on that journey through our annual Graduate Walk.

Dressed in caps and gowns, they walked through the campus that has helped shape them into who they are today. Beginning in our Early Childhood wing and continuing through elementary and middle school classrooms, they were greeted by cheers and encouragement from students and teachers throughout the school.

As they walked through the hallways, many younger students watched with admiration. Not just to celebrate their fellow Jaguars, but because it was a glimpse of what their own future could look like.

The Graduate Walk serves as a powerful reminder that growth happens one year at a time. Every classroom, teacher, and experience plays a role in preparing students for what comes next.

Following the walk, students celebrated with their families during a special brunch. It was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the partnership between home and school that supported them throughout their journeys.

While we are excited about where these students are headed, we are even more grateful for who they have become.

As they enter high school, we pray they use their God-given gifts to continue living out our core values and be a light in the communities they join.

We are grateful to have been part of their story and thankful to God for guiding them every step of the way.
