Our Drama and Music Clubs are helping students explore talents they didn’t even know they had.

In Drama Club, students build skills like public speaking, stage presence, and expression. Throughout the program, students meet twice a week, working to put together a musical. This year, they performed Seussical for family and friends. This experience allows students to

  • step into new roles
  • speak in front of others
  • grow more comfortable on stage.

While all 1st and 2nd grade students participate in a spring musical, Drama Club offers more opportunities for students interested in theater. It also creates a space for students to take risks, try something new, and build confidence.

In Music Club, students focus on vocal music and singing. They develop their vocal skills, learn music theory, and practice songs together. Through consistent practice, students grow while experiencing the joy of making music.

Students in Music Club also sing during chapel services, using their talents to serve others in a meaningful way. These moments help students see how their gifts can be used beyond the classroom to make an impact.

Each club is led by a DSA classroom teacher who provides guidance and encouragement. These relationships create a comfortable environment for students to try new things.

Together, these programs help students develop creativity and confidence. They help students recognize their God-given talents and discover how those gifts can be used to bless others.

At DSA, the arts are more than extracurricular activities. They are an important part of developing the whole child.
