Meet Michael, DSA – Doral class of 2014!

In 8th grade, Michael stepped into the DSA community, an environment that would catalyze a years-long transformation in him. He found his footing through cross country, played basketball and tennis, and won the student council presidency for his senior year of high school. The chess team also holds a special place for Michael, as it was the first time DSA won the national chess championship. Beyond that, it was the people and faith of the close-knit community that left the deepest mark. Religion classes allowed Michael to engage with his faith in a way he never had before, establishing a reverence and faith in God that he carries to this day.

After high school, Michael attended the University of Florida's Innovation Academy, a distinctive program that blends entrepreneurship with traditional academics. His first year took him abroad to the National University of Ireland, where he studied inside a 300-year-old seminary. He learned about business, markets, and innovation in a setting unlike anything he had experienced before.

He graduated Cum Laude in 2018 with a degree in Political Science and double minors in Innovation and Communication. During his time at UF, he also served as a captain with Campus Christian House, an organization that works with the homeless population and helps people transition into a reintegration community called Dignity Village. After graduating, Michael took his talents abroad, spending a year in Spain working for the Spanish government as a teacher. There, he taught 3D printing, history, and English at the high school level before returning to the United States to pursue his law degree at the University of Illinois Chicago.

Today, Michael works at the Talenti Group as an attorney defending clients in civil litigation. His life continues to be an exciting whirlwind of momentum. From the possibility of launching his own law firm to actively working on patents that reflect his passion for entrepreneurship, Michael is staying busy! Outside of work, he explores his city, brews his own beer, and spends time with family.
